Similar to Falco and Fox's taunts in their stages in Melee and Brawl... if Pit taunts in Palutena's Temple, she gives Pit advice about his opponent.

Nibby did you ever play Melee on GC? That was my only game for about a year when I got a GC for Christmas as a kid and tbh I think it's better than the Wii U version, idk what it is but Melee seems way more fluid. Maybe I was just used to playing with the Wavebird/GC controller but playing with either the Wii U Pad or the Wii Mote the player's movement is just so damn stiff.
I can't even count the number of times I've tried to pick up an item and either running past it or standing right next to it before a CPU opponent takes it! Is there a trick?! On Melee I used to be able to snatch items from mid air while doing an air dodge.

I've played all 4 of them extensively but Melee is still #1.
Melee, 4, N64, Brawl.

Melee is still great, any tips for picking up items I the Wii U version? Also the special system is lame because you should be able to earn it!

Some characters like Rosalina and Villager have a special attack that can grab projectiles... otherwise, just keep practicing your timing with them. PLay around in training mode... or just use A to grab items.
The Smash ball thing is the lamest ever and I actually play with items off when I can.

No items is always good I sometimes play with items on low but we still get the Nintendogs or something else equally annoying.
